About the course

Discover tasty recipes and tips for keeping healthy and happy when time is short and money tight. In this six-week course, you will learn how to whip up delicious, low-cost meals with store cupboard essentials as well as how to love your leftovers.

Sessions will also cover key cookery skills, advice on healthy eating and nutrition, and tips for smarter shopping. This course is suitable for anyone who could do with some new ideas on how to eat cheaply and eat well.

What you'll learn

This course will cover a variety of topics, including;

  • introduction to food, drink and cooking
  • basic cooking skills
  • basic food preparation and cooking
  • cooking with meat, fish and vegetables
  • baking bread, pastry and dairy products
  • grains, pulses and dairy products.
