What's it all about?

Over half a million businesses are started every year, however, 30% of these fail within the first two years. Having a better understanding of the initial process and requirements of a business start-up can increase the chances of your business succeeding. If you’re looking to start up your own business, or already have a business, but want to develop and progress your business plan, this qualification will support you with the skills and knowledge you will need.


You will achieve a nationally recognised level 2 qualification and learn at a time that suits you, without the need to attend College.

  • This course is free, however if you do not complete it within an agreed timeline you will be required to pay a fee of £99.

Course information

You will learn:

  • initial steps for a business start-up
  • marketing for a business start-up
  • legal and financial considerations when sharing a business
  • how to develop a business plan.

Please note that this course is only available to those 19 years old or over.

 

You will be required to have a good grasp of the English language.

You will be assessed via an electronic workbook.

Upon successful completion you will be to create and develop you own business, and may progress to AAT courses in Accounting and Bookkeeping, which will enable you to hone your finance skills.
