What's it all about?

This qualification will help you to:

  • develop an awareness of customer service in health and social care 

  • understand how to communicate effectively in a health and social care setting 

  • understand the needs of customers who access health and social care services 

  • understand teamwork in health and social care settings.

Course information

To be awarded the Level 2 Certificate in Customer Service for Health and Social Care Settings, you are required to successfully complete the following mandatory units:

  • preparing to deliver customer service in health and social care settings 

  • understand the specific needs of customers accessing health and social care services 

  • effective communication for health and social care 

  • teamwork in health and social care settings.

There are no specific entry requirements for this course. However, you may find it helpful if you’ve already achieved a level 1 qualification.

To achieve the Level 2 Certificate in Customer Service for Health and Social Care Settings, you must successfully demonstrate your achievement of all learning outcomes of the units as detailed in the qualification specification by a portfolio of evidence. 

Upon successful completion, you may progress to the following courses:

  • Level 2 Certificate in Common Health Conditions 

  • Level 2 Certificate in Awareness of Mental Health Problems 

  • Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Working in the Health Sector • Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care 

  • Level 2 Certificate in Working in the Health Sector.
