About the course

This course is bespoke to a particular company and or trade. For example, plumbers who need to be able to prove earth bonding as part of their day-to-day activities, plasterers who need to isolate electrical fittings before commencement of work etc. It will be tailored to suit the company`s individual needs after discussion with the course lecturer.

It may also be extended to one and a half, two or three days depending on the requirements of the company or individuals. These extended courses would normally be aimed at those who need to gain knowledge of three phase systems or need to know how to test three phase motors.

What you'll learn

This will be determined by the company specifications as communicated to the course tutor prior to commencement of the course.

Entry requirements

For the one day safety course the students will be nominated by their respective employers. Any course involving testing will apply to trades persons only as will any three phase course programmes.


Exams/assessments can be included as part of the communication process and will be implemented at the employer’s request.

Fees quoted apply to courses starting in the academic year 2017/18 (August 2017 – July 2018). There may be a slight increase in fees for courses starting 2018/19.
