About the course

This qualification will enable gas engineers to install non-domestic pipework over 35mm copper, up to and including 150mm steel pipework. The qualification is renewable every five years. This assessment can also be obtained as a limited scope award.

What you'll learn

The course covers all gas safety requirements in installing a range of pipework and diameters.

Entry requirements

Applicants must already hold a core gas safety in Non-domestic or Catering COCN1, CODNC01, CCN1, or CODC1. If a limited scope award is required then a relevant mechanical qualification as a pre-requisite will be acceptable as a form of entry requirement.

Assessments/Exams

You will undertake theoretical and practical exams with open book assessments.

Fees quoted apply to courses starting in the academic year 2021/22 (August 2021 – July 2022). There may be a slight increase in fees for courses starting 2022/23.

If you are aged 16-18, due to Government funding, tuition fees may not be applicable for your course. (Please note: this does not apply to Foundation Degrees or Access to Higher Education courses, and other courses not eligible for public funding.)
