Are you thinking about becoming a hairdresser, stylist, beautician, or beauty therapist? This qualification at City College Plymouth will give you an introduction to the hair and beauty sector. You’ll learn hair and beauty skills such as styling women’s hair, applying basic make-up, nail art, skin care and the art of dressing hair. This course provides a fun and inspirational insight into the industry and will establish your industry skills to allow you to progress to the next level.
This course will cover:
- presenting a professional image
- styling women’s hair
- applying basic make-up
- nail art
- skin care
- the art of dressing hair.
There are no specific entry requirements for this course.
You will be assessed by written assessments, assignments and tests.
On successful completion you may wish to progress to the Level 2 Certificate in Introduction to the Hair and Beauty Sector.
Fees quoted apply to courses starting in the academic year 2018/19 (August 2018 – July 2019). There may be a slight increase in fees for courses starting 2019/20.
