When you'll study: Tuesdays, 5.30pm to 8.30pm
This qualification is aimed at qualified fitness instructors and personal trainers who wish to acquire the additional knowledge and competencies required to plan and deliver safe and effective kettlebell exercises and training sessions.
The course covers the following areas:
- the history and origins of kettlebell training
- the benefits of using kettlebells
- health and safety considerations for kettlebell training
- how to incorporate kettlebell training into resistance sessions.
You will need to hold a level 2 fitness instructor qualification and level 1 qualifications in English and maths.
You will be assessed via a portfolio of evidence and a project/assignment.
Level 2 fitness instructors and level 3 personal trainers who wish to further their knowledge and skills and gain valuable Continuing Professional Development (CPD) may progress onto level 3 Pilates qualifications or level 3/4 sports massage therapy qualifications
Fees quoted apply to courses starting in the academic year 2020/21 (August 2020 – July 2021). There may be a slight increase in fees for courses starting 2021/22.
If you are aged 16-18, due to Government funding, tuition fees may not be applicable for your course. (Please note: this does not apply to Foundation Degrees or Access to Higher Education courses, and other courses not eligible for public funding.)
