This course will equip you with the foundational skills to:

Course information

Unit 1

You will develop an understanding of a range of interpersonal skills and qualities. You will understand when to use different interpersonal skills. Finally, you will understand the importance of ethics, values, and beliefs when using interpersonal skills.

Unit 2

You will be required to apply interpersonal skills in a given situation with another individual. You will also need to carry out a review of your skills and identify and plan for how to improve on interpersonal skills.

There are no specific entry requirements for this course. 

You will be assessed through a variety of methods which may include:

  • observation
  • oral/written questioning
  • group discussion
  • case study
  • role play
  • written work. 

Following successful completion, you could progress onto a variety of different courses at the College.
