About the course

Can you see yourself designing, managing and coordinating a live event? Whether you want to specialise in music, theatre or corporate events, this exciting course will teach you everything you need to know about this vibrant and creative industry, with practical training that leads to a nationally-recognised qualification. From event design and construction to the application of advanced digital event technologies, you’ll learn the skills and knowledge you need to enter the events production industry.

Your tutors will be professionals who have extensive industry experience and knowledge. You’ll develop your craft through practical assignments underpinned by a solid grounding in production theory, industry knowledge and business skills.

Entry requirements

We accept applications from those who have 32 UCAS points from on A Level, a Level 3 BTEC or equivalent qualification.

You will need to have a passion for the arts and, ideally, previous performance experience.

Should entry requirements not be met then individual cases will be considered.


You will be continually assessed throughout each stage of the course. This will include projects, ongoing production work, practical assessment and evaluation.

What's next?

On successful completion you may be able to progress to a level 6 top-up degree at a university, or benefit from enhanced employment opportunities in the industry.

Fees quoted apply to courses starting in the academic year 2018/19 (August 2018 – July 2019). There may be a slight increase in fees for courses starting 2019/20.
