About the course

This evening course in people management is a great management training option studied at university level (level 5). Awarded by Plymouth University, the qualification takes 17 weeks to complete and is suitable for a range of businesses. It is focused on ensuring organisational and individual success, examining performance management, recruitment and selection, and reward and talent management. What you'll learn

Most managers are now expected to encompass people management as a key part of their role. This module will provide an overview of a range of those responsibilities, including supporting and enabling employees to achieve organisational and personal goals, helping learners to develop their skills and knowledge, as well as knowing how to address the challenges of day-to-day people management. In the pursuit of organisational and individual success, the programme will examine performance management, as well as recruitment and selection, and reward and talent management. The latest change management and flexible working practices are evaluated, and ethical approaches to the employment relationship will be assessed. This programme offers an opportunity to explore some of the most important issues facing managers and organisations in today’s competitive business environment.

This module will be assessed by coursework only.

On successful completion of this module you may progress to a range of other CPD modules at the College. Three modules equate to a Certificate of Professional Development Award.
