This award is for suitable for people of all ages, who wish to gain knowledge in diet and nutrition for their own use, as well as those who wish to enhance the role they already have in the fitness industry.
The course covers the following areas:
- structure and function of the digestive system
- the glycaemic index
- the role of cholesterol, macro nutrients and micro nutrients
- guidelines for a healthy, balanced diet
- obesity and weight management.
You will need to hold level 1 qualifications in English and maths.
You will be assessed via worksheets and a presentation.
Upon successful completion you may progress to the following courses at the College;
