This qualification will enable engineers to install, maintain and service radiant tube heaters and plaque heaters in non-domestic environments. This qualification is mandatory for Gas Safe Registration in this field and has to be renewed every five years.
The course covers gas safety requirements and specific technical information and workings in overhead radiant tube heaters and plaque heaters in non-domestic installations.
Applicants must already hold a core gas safety qualification such as COCN1, CODNC01.
You will undertake open book theoretical exams along with open book practical tasks.
This qualification ensures continuous employment and may expand job opportunities within the gas field.
Fees quoted apply to courses starting in the academic year 2021/22 (August 2021 – July 2022). There may be a slight increase in fees for courses starting 2022/23.
If you are aged 16-18, due to Government funding, tuition fees may not be applicable for your course. (Please note: this does not apply to Foundation Degrees or Access to Higher Education courses, and other courses not eligible for public funding.)
