What's it all about?

Are you interested in pursuing a career in one of the Armed Forces? This Level 3 Diploma in Armed Forces Preparation is targeted at those who would like to gain employment in the Armed Forces and you will have been developed to provide further training, education and progression opportunities. The qualification will develop your abilities through the knowledge and skills gained on the course and are suitable for students who would like to know more about employment in one of the Armed Forces.

Course information

This course covers the following units:

  • government, policies and the public services
  • leadership and teamwork in the public services
  • citizenship, diversity and the public services
  • physical preparation, health and lifestyle for the public services
  • understand the impact of war, conflict and terrorism on public services
  • behaviour in public sector employment.

This course requires four GCSEs at grade 4 and above (including English and maths) or a relevant level 2 qualification.

There are no written exams on this course. All work will be assessed through various in house assessment methods.

On successful completion of this course, you could go onto to study the FdSc in Community and Public Services at the College.
