About the course

This level 3 certificate is tailored for individuals who wish to pursue a career in teaching yoga or are currently running sessions without a formal qualification. During the course, you will have advice and guidance on how to plan, teach and evaluate a safe and effective yoga sessions as well as yoga training approaches and techniques.

What you'll learn

This course consists of the following four mandatory units:

  • advanced exercise and fitness knowledge
  • philosophy and fundamentals of yoga
  • plan and prepare to instruct a progressive yoga sessions
  • instruct, manage, adapt and evaluate a yoga sessions
Entry requirements

There are no formal requirements for this course, however it is expected that you will have a basic level of knowledge and experience of practising yoga.

Assessments/Exams

You will be assessed with internally assessed coursework and an externally assessed theory paper.

What's next?

On successful completion of this course, you could go to study a Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing at the College.

Fees quoted apply to courses starting in the academic year 2017/18 (August 2017 – July 2018). There may be a slight increase in fees for courses starting 2018/19.
