What's it all about?

This short, ten week course is an opportunity to study a creative subject of your choice. Areas to choose from include:

  • art
  • games
  • media.

You’ll research, plan and make a product of your choice while developing your practical skills to the level you desire. Your product could be a short film, a game, a piece of theatre, some dance, a song or some art.

Whatever you are interested in, you’ll be able to experience a unique, professional learning environment and develop your passion for the creative industries.

Course information

You will study the following two units:

  • introduction to materials, processes and skills in your chosen creative subject
  • introduction to research in your chosen creative subject.

Both these units are practical based units which you will achieve by completing the project described in the ‘what’s it all about’ section.

There are no specific entry requirements for this course, however you will need to have an interest in the creative industries.

There are no exams. You will be assessed by coursework.

If you excel and enjoy the course then there are level 2 and 3 courses available in each of the creative industry disciplines here at the College.
