About the course

Are you an electrician needing to complete a 17th edition IEE Wiring Regulations course? This intensive three day 17th Edition qualification at City College Plymouth is awarded by City and Guilds. The training will provide a sound and thorough grounding in all aspects of the regulations focusing on installation design, inspection, testing and supervision. City & Guilds 2382-15.

What you'll learn

The course is scheduled over three consecutive days and will introduce you to the definitive standards of the electrical industry with respect to safe use and operation of electrical systems and equipment as laid down in the latest edition of the IET Wiring Regulations.

Entry requirements

This qualification is primarily aimed at practicing electricians and other professionals such as consultants, surveyors etc who need to update and enhance their understanding of the IET 17th Edition.


Assessment is via an online, two hour, open book multi-choice examination which will take place the day after the three day course delivery.

Important information

Fees quoted apply to courses starting in the academic year 2017/18 (August 2017 – July 2018). There may be a slight increase in fees for courses starting 2018/19.
