Employer Connections Conferences
In September 2021, the College will be hosting a series of conferences that will bring employers, students and staff together to discuss the futures of sectors that are vital for Plymouth’s economy. All three events will take place after after a delicious healthy breakfast in the College’s award-winning PL1 Restaurant.
On Friday 10 September, the College hosts an event for those involved with healthcare, social care, sport, science and any other area that is linked to the health and wellbeing of people in Plymouth and the wider area.
On Friday 17 September, City College will be discussing building strong futures when it hosts its Construction and Built Environment conference. Join lecturers and university-level students as they discuss the concerns surrounding the decreasing number of skilled workers entering this industry, and how technology is revolutionising training.
The College is also keen to find out what your hopes and concerns are for the future, enabling you to help shape our training to ensure you are getting the workforce you need to thrive.
Our final September conference will be for employers linked to the marine, engineering and manufacturing industries. Taking place on Thursday 23 September, this event will follow on from the virtual event earlier this year, which saw a variety of topics discussed over Zoom, including the importance of AI and robotics for these areas, and how to attract the best and brightest.
