Apprenticeship Information Evening
2 March @ 4.30pm - 6.30pm
Apprenticeships are suitable for everyone, school-leavers and career changers, and at our information evening, you can learn all about getting your career headed in the right direction via this earn-while-you-learn route.
Apprenticeships are perfect for those looking to gain the knowledge and skills to succeed all while earning a wage like Sam Griffiths who chose to start an Apprenticeship because:
“I wanted to get out in the real world and earn a living whilst learning my trade. I thought to myself for the three, four or maybe even five years I could spend at university earning a degree I could have gained on-the-job experience which I believe employers will prefer over someone coming out of university into a job, and I earn money whilst doing it!”
Apprenticeships are also a great pathway for those looking to upskill, or retrain.
In November 2021, apprentices Sophie and Steve were awarded silver medals at WorldSkills UK after impressing the judges with their skills in painting and decorating and plastering respectively. Having reached their mid-20s, both Sophie and Steve were unsatisfied with their previous careers and decided to retrain through Apprenticeships. Changing careers can be difficult, particularly when you have bills to pay, but an Apprenticeship could be the solution.
If you’re considering an Apprenticeship in the engineering sector, Babcock will be there to talk you through its apprentice programmes and working in this fast-paced, ever changing industry.
This event is the perfect opportunity for you to chat to staff about Apprenticeships of every level and the process of starting on this qualification.
If you are still unsure about your next steps, you are welcome to talk to a member of our Careers team who can point you in the right direction.
Our Funding team will be on hand to answer your questions and if you require any additional support our Learning Support team will be happy to help.
Save time on the day and register your attendance below.
