‘Tis the season to be hungry! Christmas brings us an excuse to stuff both our stockings and stomachs, so grab the elasticated trousers and make room for PL1 Restaurant’s new Christmas menu.

City College hospitality and catering students will be cooking up a snowstorm and serving some festive cheer in their prize winning restaurant which has been awarded the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence three years running. With a mouth-watering selection of starters, mains and desserts, from butter roasted turkey breast to Christmas pudding with brandy sauce, the PL1 Christmas menu has something for everyone.

“We wanted to give everyone a taste of Christmas at PL1 this year,” said Larry Moody, Lecturer in Culinary Skills at the College. “Our students are excited to be spreading the holiday spirit and serving this sensational seasonal menu. The set menu offers a range of appetising options and caters for all dietary requirements, all at a reasonable price. Whether you are looking to treat yourself to an evening out or just feeling a bit peckish, we hope to see everyone leaving with a ‘belly like a bowl full of jelly’.”

This traditional and tasty menu will be available from Tuesday 28 November to Friday 15 December. To support aspiring chefs, come along and choose two courses for £11 or three for £16, and in the season of giving £1 from every meal will go to the College’s chosen charity, Macmillan Cancer Support.
