02 May 2017 | Uncategorised

This Saturday, City College is opening its doors to potential students but with a fun spring fete twist. As well as providing information on the courses and Apprenticeship opportunities on offer, the event will also be bustling with live music performances, stalls, engaging demonstrations and even a soft play area with face painting for younger visitors.

The event will also offer visitors a chance to tour the industry standard facilities and get a taste for College life. Whilst on-site, visitors can speak to course lecturers and hear from current students about their experiences. Careers Advisors will be on-hand to offer free impartial advice and guidance and the Student Funding team will also be available to answer any queries about money matters.

“With spring in the air it is the perfect time for a fresh start” says Jo Williams, Marketing Officer at the College. “Whether you know a young person thinking about their post GCSE options, be that Apprenticeships or full-time courses, or someone looking to change career path, this event has something for everyone.

“We are encouraging families to come along and seek out advice but also spend a fun few hours enjoying the various activities, be that hands-on subject tasters, the inflatable bungee run and BATAK challenges or a more relaxing early lunch in the College’s PL1 deli.”
