Your favourite cup, a comfortable bed and people to talk to … these things make a house a home. We know how important it is for you to create a home for yourself while you study and to be happy where you are living, so we offer a range of accommodation for you to choose from. Whether you want to live with a family or friends, your new home will be the place you can relax in after a day at the College.

Meet New Friends in a Hall of Residence

You’ll have your own bedroom and bathroom, and will share a kitchen with other students. So you’ll be able to cook meals together, or just share a cup of tea. Most of the apartments are in the city centre, just a short walk from the free shuttle bus to the College. Prices start at £125 a week, including some of your bills.

Experience British Family Life

Staying with one of our host families is a great way to practise your English and experience a British family home. All of our under-18 international students stay with host families, unless your parents agree you can stay in other accommodation. Lots of over-18s prefer the comfort of a family home as well. You’ll get your own bedroom and most meals. Prices start at £112 a week for a single room.

Share With Other Students

If you’re looking for more independence, you could share a flat or house with other students. The International Office can help you to find somewhere. You’ll have your own bedroom, and share other rooms. Prices start at around £99 a week, though you will need to pay extra for bills.

International student Ghiga Gustinanda stayed with a host family while studying with City College, and the experience made settling in to a new country much easier.

This program has helped me to develop not only my English skills, but also my communication skills. You meet people from all over the world at College! When you’re studying overseas, you’re automatically being more independent and responsible for yourself and your studies. Studying overseas isn’t easy, especially if English is not your first language, but the staff here are really helpful so there’s nothing to worry about. I’m exploring new places, making new friends and spending as much time as I can with my host family.”
