Inform, Persuade and Inspire with Former ITV Reporter at Business Communication Workshop

07 August 2018 | Employers

Chris Slade, ex Spotlight and ITV reporter, and brand communications expert, will lead a Business Communication Skills Training workshop at City College Plymouth to teach the skills businesses need to tell their story clearly and concisely, as well as giving tips on how to best engage target audiences.

Successful business communication and marketing means being able to inform, persuade, inspire and motivate both colleagues and customers. However, many businesses who have a clear brand identity often miss out on opportunities to publicise their goods and services to their audiences.

Chris will draw on his experience of reporting and brand communications to deliver an interactive workshop using a live TV camera in order to demonstrate techniques and offer constructive recommendations to improve everyone’s storytelling performance.

Chris said: “Businesses are often too close to what they do to see how they should tell their story and how it could be improved. They often lack the skills to consider low-cost video content or the confidence to approach trade press, etc for publicity.

“This fun workshop is ideal for those who want an interactive session which will give them the skills and set of tools to improve how they communicate their messages.”

Running on Friday 14 September 9.00am to 1.30pm, the Business Communication Skills Training workshop will assist businesses with identifying the best story and communicating this message on different platforms.

To book a place on the workshop call 01752 305026 or e-mail employers@cityplym.ac.uk.
