If you’re in Year 11…

… it’s great that you’re considering your options for September.

Whether you’re thinking about a full-time course or wanting to gain an Apprenticeship, there’s lots on offer – including help to achieve your English and Maths GCSEs if you don’t achieve a grade 4/5 at school.

Full-time courses:

At City College Plymouth you’ll learn from industry experts in an environment that will allow you to flourish, where you will benefit from great facilities and lecturers who care about your interests and ambitions, and who will treat you as an individual.

Explore our full-time courses here.

Apprenticeships:

If you’re interested in applying for an Apprenticeship, be mindful that these ‘jobs’ may not be readily available due to the current pandemic. Whilst you can click here to browse our current vacancies, we highly recommend that you secure a place on a full-time course in a subject related to the Apprenticeship you are interested in so you are fully prepared with a ‘plan B’ in September if you haven’t found an employer in time.

Click here to watch our Apprenticeships video.

How to apply:

If you know which full-time course you are interested in applying for, you can secure your place by completing an application online. Simply visit the course page and click the ‘apply now’ button to be taken to our application portal or a PDF form.

For Apprenticeships, you will need to apply for each individual vacancy – but please note, you may like to wait until the spring if you aren’t ready to start until the autumn.

Regardless of whether you apply for a full-time course or Apprenticeship, when completing the application you will be asked to enter your predicted grades. Please don’t overthink these: closer to your start date we will work with you to ensure you are put on the right course level for you and if you need to study your English and maths GCSEs/equivalent alongside your chosen course, we can accommodate this to ensure you leave the College with these essential qualifications.

We offer qualifications right the way up to degree level in a friendly and supportive environment that our students love! Not only are all of our HE courses endorsed by industry, but we are also able to offer places to individuals based on their own experience, rather than purely focusing on prior academic achievement.
