Learning that is out of this world!

Young people from across the City will experience learning that is out of this world at City College Plymouth.

On Wednesday 29 November, City College will welcome Space Odyssey’s pop-up planetarium into the STEM Hub. Schools and unformed groups from around Plymouth will spend the day inside immersive domes experiencing a spectacular 360 degree 3D view of space. The young people will have the opportunity to explore starry skies as they learn the ins and outs of space whilst keeping their feet firmly on the ground.

City College’s STEM Hub Officer, Andy Robinson, said “We are excited to be working with Space Odyssey at the College to further engage local primary and secondary schools, as well as our own College students in STEM based activity. We hope to be able to inspire the next generation into the amazing world that exists beyond our planet.”

Each dome offers a learning environment in which young people can grasp otherwise abstract concepts in an exciting and memorable way. To find out more visit: www.spaceodyssey.co.uk.
