Those looking to improve their career opportunities by up-skilling or retraining have the opportunity to take their next steps with the launch of City College’s new part-time course guide for 2016/17.

The guide provides information on the support available to part-time students, as well as the wide variety of courses on offer – from management and leadership to welding, plumbing or childcare. Courses range from half-day sessions to three-year university-level Foundation Degrees.

Businesses looking to up-skill or retrain their staff can also take advantage of the courses on offer, as the courses are designed to be flexible enough to accommodate the working week.

Financial support is also available to those looking to return to learning, including Advanced Learner Loans for those aged 19 and over. For those who meet the criteria, there are no upfront course fees to be paid and if they progress onto a higher education course, they may not need to pay back the loan at all.
