Playing With Fire

15 May 2018 | Performing Arts & Music

Danger, dragons, and damsels in distress are on the play bill at City College Plymouth’s next stage performance.

Performing arts students from City College are set to take to the stage to perform an adaptation of Terry Pratchett’s novel ‘Guards! Guards!’ The cast invites everyone to journey to the city of Ankh-Morpork to see a dragon crowned King and a motley crew of night watchmen try to save the day.

City College’s Associate Lecturer of Performing Arts, Harriet Elias-Jones, said: “Promising to set the stage on fire, our students have been working tirelessly to put on this spring time show. The show is a truly enchanting mix of original music, physical theatre, puppetry and performance. We are welcoming everyone to watch this scaly tale unfold.

“The performing arts programme here at the College is entirely focused on the process of making theatre for performance and enables our students to develop their skills as artists, theatre makers and freelance professionals, to a high level.”

Support City College’s aspiring actors on Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 May from 7.00pm at Kings Road. To book tickets visit onlinestore.cityplym.ac.uk.
