Dance Scene - Dance students performing

Dancers from across the City will be showcasing their talent at Dance Infinity 2017 – a two-night extravaganza hosted by City College Plymouth.

The event celebrates dance within the City with performances showcasing local dance groups, as well as dance students studying at the College. With no restrictions on age or dance style, Dance Infinity 2017 will be a unique opportunity for the various dance schools in Plymouth to come together and show off their talent.

Joanne Ramsden, Dance Lecturer at City College, said: “Plymouth has a fantastic dance scene and Dance Infinity is an opportunity to celebrate this. We’re very much looking forward to welcoming the local dance groups to the College and seeing the variety of skills and talent each one has to offer. Rarely do we get the chance to see hip-hop performers share the same stage as ballet and contemporary dancers, and this is what makes this event special.

“At the College, we offer a range of full-time dance programmes from level 2 to level 4. We cover all styles including ballet, contemporary, tap, jazz, musical theatre, commercial and international, as well as choreography. I am really looking forward to seeing our students, from all levels and year groups, take to the stage and perform in Dance Infinity.”

As well as City College students, dance schools taking part include Street Factory, Groovement Project, Rhythm City, Italia Conti, Lipson Community College, SWS School of Dance, Alison Sawle School of Dance, Exim and Wheelfever.
