Pop-in to City College Central

16 June 2017 | College News

City College’s pop-up shop in the City Centre is now into its second week. Situated on New George Street opposite White Stuff, City College Central is offering course information, advice and guidance alongside a programme of daily activities designed to help people find out about different careers within the City.

Occupying the former Mr Bun’s shop, the College have breathed new life into a previously tired and unoccupied shop space. This week has also seen the renovation of the second floor – with staff and students from the College’s plastering and painting and decorating team improving the interiors appearance for future occupants.

“We are here until Saturday 17 June and whether you are a 16-18 year old considering a full-time course or apprenticeship after your exams, or an adult looking to re-train or improve your job prospects, the pop-up shop has the relevant information and staffing to point you in the right direction” said Jo Williams, the Marketing Officer leading the project on behalf of City College.

“The College believes in giving people the opportunity to explore different career paths and find out about the range of industry vacancies within the City.  City College Central is a platform for us to not only promote our courses but also the options available to students after they complete their studies. We work with local businesses to offer employer focused training to give back to the community and keep skilled workers within the South West.”
