On Friday 13 March, students on the BTEC Level 1 Diploma in Sport completed a double marathon (52.4 miles) in aid of Sport Relief.

The students completed the challenge on a treadmill, with each student completing approximately five miles. The students chose to run a mile at a time before tagging in one of their colleagues. The final mile they completed as a group following the College’s Wellbeing Mile around the Kings Road campus.

The students have raised £119.18 so far through a bucket collection and an online donation page.

Sport lecturer, Mark Channing, said: “I was absolutely delighted with the effort and commitment shown by my students.

“Seeing them at the end, they had a real sense of achievement and said they thoroughly enjoyed the day. A couple even asked if we could do it every week!”

Well done to all involved with this challenge.
