Will be working along side the head chef or senior sous chef, learning different styles and techniques in preparing and cooking food. Apprentice chef will be required to work during shifts and under pressure. To include:
Cooking and being trained to cook different dishes
The apprenticeship will be delivered through a combination of Work Based Assessment and one day a week at college. The programme concludes in an End Point Assessment, in which the skills and knowledge you will gain during the apprenticeship will be formally tested.
Functional Skills in English and Maths will also be delivered as part of the apprenticeship, if required.
Qualities and skills:
Skills Required – Basic kitchen knowledge
Personal Qualities – Good sense of humour, Polite, Respectful
Hoping after completion of apprenticeship to be offered full time employment
