Duties:

For the right candidate this is an opportunity to join a team that is rapidly becoming known as one of the premiere places to eat in Plymouth, to receive training in a style of cuisine that is very niche and working to standards that would increase further job options.

You will learn all you need to know about working in a professional kitchen. You will assist in the preparation, cooking and presentation of food. You will benefit from our experienced team who will supportive and you will of course be earning as you go. You will need to be passionate, focused and committed. You will get training from our dedicated team of chefs who will help you develop and achieve your goals. On completion of the apprenticeship you will receive a nationally recognised qualification and have an opportunity to progress in the organisation.

  • Preparing ingredients for food service
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene
  • Dealing with stock rotation and labelling
  • Dealing with deliveries
  • Preparing food from our daily menu

Training:

  • Commis chef Level 2 Apprenticeship
  • Functional skills if required

You will attend college one day per week (term time) for this apprenticeship where you will gain valuable skills and knowledge to start your chef career. You will also recieve training from the business during your time with them.

All training to be provided by City College Plymouth in collaboration with the company themselves throughout the duration of the apprenticeship.

Desired qualifications

The ideal candidate will have some experience or awarness of the hospitality industry as well as A-C grades (or equivalent) in English and maths.
