Duties:

During the 18 month apprenticeship period, the successful candidates will gain experience in various areas of media production, and will assist with the creation and maintenance of training content for the Training Academy’s Online Learning Team and its social media channels

Training:

All training to be provided by City College Plymouth in collaboration with the company themselves throughout the duration of the apprenticeship. Your apprenticeship may consist of the following components; NVQ Diploma, Technical Cert, Functional Skills Maths and English, Employee Rights and Responsibilities, and Personal Learning and Thinking Skills. All components will be agreed upon before the start of the apprenticeship.

Qualities and skills:

The successful candidate will need to:

• Have an appreciation of and/or ability to use Photoshop, Indesign, Acrobat and Microsoft Office Software, Final Cut Pro, Premier Pro Vegas and Photographic Composition.
• Skills in digital SLR Photography & Film Making.
• Knowledge & Proficiency in using Social Media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

We also require a minimum of GCSE English Language and Mathematics at Grade C and above or equivalent to the new GCSE grading scheme from 2017, or equivalent work experience.

Prospects:

After successfully completing the Level 3 apprenticeship (Junior Content Producer) there may potentially be an opportunity for candidates to continue their development.
