Apprentice Quantity Surveyor

Salary per week:
You will work closely with the commercial director, who is a qualified and chartered quantity surveyor. You will support a variety of interesting construction projects as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team, including engineers, architects, project managers, cost consultants and other specialist contractors.
Responsibilities will include assisting the directors and managers with the smooth daily running of the business and construction activities, such as:
- Producing quotations
- Ordering materials
- Preparing invoices
- Record keeping
- Document review
- Design review
- Health and safety
- Construction Quantity Surveying Technician
- HNC level 4
This is a 3-year long apprenticeship. You will be attending college 1 day a week for 2 years to achieve your HNC which is embedded in the apprenticeship. Your final year will have no college attendance and will consist of onsite visits for assessments carried out by your assessor.

GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent) in maths and English plus other GCSE’s or a BTEC/L3 in a related subject.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have completed an apprenticeship within construction at level 2 or 3, or have extensive experience working in this sector.
You must be 18+ to access degree level training.
Upon successful completion of this HNC, there is opportunity to progress to bachelor’s degree level (part-time study) and a specialist employment role, for example: Quantity Surveyor Estimator Project Manager.
Things to consider
Primarily office based, with the need to periodically visit construction sites.
