Tooltech Ltd are looking for an Apprentice to join their team who will be trained to the highest standard manufacturing bespoke tools for some of the largest companies with the UK. This vacancy is being managed by City College Plymouth.
You will be trained in the use of manual milling machines and manual lathes, once you have proved your proficiency you will be trained on 3 axis CNC milling machines. There will be opportunities to progress within the company following successfully completing the apprenticeship.
Duties may include:
- Ensuring that all machinery is kept in a clean, safe and fully maintained condition.
- Operating of manual manufacturing machines.
- Learning problem solving techniques for toolmaking and CNC programming.
You will be expected to move through the apprenticeship and ensure all course work is completed alongside attending College on day release each week.
All training to be provided by City College Plymouth in collaboration with the company themselves throughout the duration of the apprenticeship. Your apprenticeship may consist of the following components; NVQ Diploma, Technical Cert, Functional Skills Maths and English, Employee Rights and Responsibilities, and Personal Learning and Thinking Skills. All components will be agreed upon before the start of the apprenticeship.
