Duties:

·         Create, prepare and cook daily menu’s for events and the café

·         Be an organised apprentice chef who thrives working in a team with a great work ethic

·         Learns to take ownership of creating new and exciting food menus based on feedback from customers and staff

·         Learn to Order and control stock – limiting waste

·         Work well under the pressure of time and food delivery

·         Ensure that storage of food meets statutory health and safety requirements

·         Comply & implement all Health and Safety and Food hygiene expectations

·         Ambitious individuals looking for a great opportunity to progress

·         Can start to ideas on how to create menu options

·         Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality

·         Follows all operational policies and procedures

·         Ensures equipment/ cookers are fit for purpose and of the required standard of cleanliness

·         Ensures that the kitchen area is clean, tidy, organised and safely displayed

·         Does food tasting

·         From time to time support events, be flexible and accommodating

·         Treats colleagues and customers professionally and with respect

 

 

 

 

Training:

All training to be provided by City College Plymouth in collaboration with the company themselves throughout the duration of the apprenticeship. Your apprenticeship may consist of the following components; NVQ Diploma, Technical Cert, Functional Skills Maths and English, Employee Rights and Responsibilities, and Personal Learning and Thinking Skills. All components will be agreed upon before the start of the apprenticeship.
