You will learn over a scheduled period all you need to know about working in a professional kitchen. You will assist in the preparation, cooking and presentation of food for our events and brasserie.
You will benefit from our experienced team who will support you and you will of course be earning as you go. You will need to be passionate, focused and committed.
You will get training from our dedicated team of chefs who will help develop and achieve your goals. On completion of the Apprenticeship, you will receive a nationally recognised qualification and have an opportunity to progress in the organisation.
- Preparing ingredients for food service
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene
- Dealing with stock rotation and labelling
- Dealing with deliveries
- Preparing food from our daily menu
For this role, you will undertake the Level 2 Commis Chef apprenticeship standard which is delivered over an 18 month period. You will be required to attend College one day per week for your training (term time) to build the skills and knowledge towards the apprenticeship.
You will have direct training at the workplace from the Head Chef who will guide you through the day to day duties involved in the job.

No formal qualifications are required for this position, but the ideal candidate would hold GCSE’s/equivalent in English and maths at A-C/4-9 grades.
A candidate who has completed a previous course/has work experience in the catering industry would be highly desirable.
A full-time role upon completion.

You will need to consider that shifts will be across evenings and weekends so you may be working unsociable hours.
