Engineer – Mechanical Manufacture

7am-3.30pm Monday-Thursday. 7am-2pm Fridays
To build the foundations of a career as a toolmaker by receiving training and becoming competent at typically turning, milling, grinding, wire erosion & spark erosion disciplines
- Training on various machines within the factory as above
- Maintain a clean and tidy environment
- Comply with all Health & Safety requirements
All training to be provided by City College Plymouth in collaboration with the company themselves throughout the duration of the apprenticeship. Your apprenticeship may consist of the following components; NVQ Diploma, Technical Cert, Functional Skills Maths and English, Employee Rights and Responsibilities, and Personal Learning and Thinking Skills. All components will be agreed upon before the start of the apprenticeship.
Qualities and skills:
We would like our apprentice to be keen, enthusiastic, willing to learn, good listener, able to follow instructions, team player and good attendance record, mechanical/engineering aptitude, hands on approach
Possible career progression
Working in a factory environment, machine work, PPE must be worn.
