Cutting Company was established in 2005 and currently employs 20 staff members; they are hoping to expand their team by recruiting fresh faces.
The apprentice will be learning how to colour, cut and style hair and understand the general day-to-day running of a busy salon.
Alongside the apprentice learning how to colour, cut and style hair, they will be required make cups of tea and coffee, deal with clients both over the phone and face to face. We are big on education, we dedicate at least one afternoon/evening a week to educating our apprentice’s on what they need to learn to achieve their qualification. Wherever possible we like to spend time growing and maturing our team. We have in house training from goldwell colour education Kerry Brennan once every three months. We have also had come big names visit the salon for in house training workshops, Tom Chapman (founder of The Lions Barber Collective) and Beverly Cox (Beverly C) to say the least. We also have in house education with GHD and Moroccan Oil educators.
- Keeping the salon clean and tidy
- Reception duties and general admin including answering the telephone and making bookings
- Dealing with clients
- Shampooing and conditioning hair
- Undergoing in house training when required
All training to be provided by City College Plymouth in collaboration with the company themselves throughout the duration of the apprenticeship. Your apprenticeship may consist of the following components; NVQ Diploma, Technical Cert, Functional Skills Maths and English, Employee Rights and Responsibilities, and Personal Learning and Thinking Skills. All components will be agreed upon before the start of the apprenticeship.
