Duties:

In this role you will be working for a multi-award-winning company with many customer service nominations, it is also the most reviewed locksmith company in the South West for a fun, lifelong career. You will learn the niche skills to open locked doors by various methods such as picking, bypassing and manipulating as well as destructing methods such as drilling open. You will learn the various different types of locks, how they work, how to replace them and how to upgrade customer’s home security. If a UPVC door has a failed mechanism with fully deployed hooks, you will learn how to bypass the security. You will learn all the ways to repair UPVC doors and windows with their various faults.

You will be dealing with customers on a daily basis including:

  • Booking appointments for one-off and routine contacts
  • Dealing with orders and receiving payments
  • Offering advice, guidance and support
  • Meet and greets
  • Sales
  • Troubleshooting problems
  • After care
  • Gaining insight by measuring customer satisfaction

Customer interactions may cover a wide range of situations and can include face to face, telephone, post, email, text and social media.

Daily duties for this role will include but are not limited to:

  • Unlocking doors
  • Changing locks
  • Upgrading security
  • Installing locks
  • Opening failed UPVC door mechanisms
  • Repairing windows
  • Changing UPVC glass units
  • Installing additional security

Training:

Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard:

  • All training to be provided by City College Plymouth in collaboration with the company themselves throughout the duration of the apprenticeship

Prospects:

  • Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship there will be the opportunity to learn how to open safes and to take over the sole running of the car key side of the business. There will also be well paid out of hours work
