Orbis Engineering is looking for a bright and vigilant young person to become part of our small team.
Orbis Engineering is a new company however is growing fast and as a result is in need of apprentices.
Your daily tasks will involve, welding with mig on basic pre prepped surfaces where you will be supervised and trained by a competent welder, learning how to approach health and safety in a work place and how to minimise risks when working with high risk equipment such as angle grinders and mag drills. You will also learn how to use stick and tig welders efficiently as well as oxy/propane cutting and a variation of other activities.
As mentioned we are looking for someone who is willing to devote themselves to long shifts and hard labour as the tasks we do require hard work.
All training to be provided by City College Plymouth in collaboration with the company themselves throughout the duration of the apprenticeship. An NVQ in Engineering Level 2 will be awarded to the successful candidate on completion of the apprenticeship.
Qualities and skills:
Preferably a fit and strong individual with a vigilant mind set, mature and disciplined.
Depending on the selected candidates resourcefulness and abilities to complete work, hours may increase in accordance with the candidate’s competency.
Outside Working Conditions.
As a part of the application process, you may be required to undertake diagnostic assessments with City College Plymouth.
