The successful candidate will be trained to become highly organised, reliable, flexible and methodical – being able to prioritise their duties and meet deadlines. They should possess strong communication skills (both verbal and written), and the ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining a high level of service to both colleagues and customers.

We are seeking a self-motivated individual who can work under their own initiative as well as being a team player who will integrate into the team and office as a whole, building a rapport with colleagues. We will offer full in house training and support for day release college.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with receiving in goods and booking them onto the stock management system
  • Assisting with the preparation of orders for dispatch to customers
  • Monitoring levels of stock and reporting to purchasing department
  • Liaising with transport companies with queries
  • Updating the Inventory Management System
  • Assisting with maintaining a tidy, organised warehouse

In addition to the above, you will be trained to use the stock inventory system, fork lift and any other equipment required to perform the role.


You will undertake the Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative apprenticeship alongside the role with Lighthouse Pools. The apprenticeship is 18 months long with only College attendance required for the initial induction. You will be assessed at the workplace via assessor visits and observations to prove your competency in the role.

You will also receive in house training from Lighthouse Pools.

  • Good organisation skills with the ability to prioritise workload
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, liaising colleagues and other departments within Lighthouse
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook)
  • Good attention to detail

  • Flexible, reliable, efficient and proactive

Desired qualifications

No formal qualifications are required, but the ideal candidate will have maths and English grades of A*-C/9-4


There are many support functions within the business, Quality, Engineering, Finance, Scheduling and the right candidate could potentially complete a follow-on apprenticeship or even apply for a full-time position in one of these other departments.
