Duties will include:

  • Providing a high quality of service to customers, going above and beyond with contacting (including email, telephone and face-to-face communication) the customer to resolve any issues
  • Managing customer information in an organised manner, making specific documents, build up a collection of data for each customer
  • Having a clear knowledge of the products being sold, especially manufactured by Apple. This is especially important with new products being manufactured annually
  • Developing sales and negotiation skills, producing these skills whilst communicating to improve and maintain customer relationships
  • To be updated with latest inventory of stock, developing knowledge of high and low levels of stock to spot patterns between high-demands items to increase sales

This is a brand new, bespoke apprenticeship to City College Plymouth. Your core apprenticeship will be based on customer service, with additional business administration assessments to concrete the purpose of your role and learning. All training will be provided by City College Plymouth in collaboration with the employer throughout the 15-18 month apprenticeship. For this apprenticeship you will only have to attend College for the induction sessions and any relevant exams, otherwise all of your learning and assessments will be carried out at the workplace.

  • This role can offer future prospects in sales such as becoming an accounts manager. This involves taking on a wider base of clients, building stronger relationships with each client. Also, with the customer service skills gained, this can be transferred in to shop and warehouse management
