We have an exciting opportunity for anyone wishing to kick-start their career with an Apprenticeship in Sheet Metal Manufacturing. Studying with City College Plymouth, you will be able to earn while you learn – becoming a valued member of our workforce in the process.

The apprenticeship programme has been designed to provide candidates with comprehensive training in all Sheet Metal production activities.
You will learn how to set and operate machines including:
CNC Piercing or Folding.
This is a Level 2 Apprenticeship programme run in conjunction with City College Plymouth involving:
A one-year day release programme to gain a level 2 technical certificate in mechanical engineering.
Work-based learning and training to gain a level 2 NVQ in an engineering / manufacturing discipline.
Extensive on-the-job training with one of our experienced machine setters.
All training to be provided by City College Plymouth in collaboration with the company themselves throughout the duration of the apprenticeship. An NVQ in Engineering Level 2+ will be awarded to the successful candidate on completion of the apprenticeship.

Good interpersonal skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Ability to prioritise workload / study units to meet deadlines
A strong aptitude for mechanical engineering.
A proactive approach to work and learning.
The ability to work effectively as part of a fast moving team.
Ideally, candidates will have a minimum of Grade D in Maths and English or equivalent.
Candidates will be guaranteed permanent, full-time employment once the apprenticeship is complete, with the opportunity to further develop their career” be added after the potential to progress onto level 3.
