PL1 Restaurant, Bar and Brasserie

We are proud to present our new restaurant PL1. Situated within the hospitality building at Kings Road, PL1 welcomes members of the public and provides guests with a vibrant and quality dining experience in modern surroundings.

It is run entirely by students under the expert guidance of College lecturers. When dining with us you will experience not only excellent food and fine wines, but you will also be supporting the development of our chef and restaurant teams, in becoming the stars of the future.

In preparing our students for employment in the hospitality industry, they work in state-of-the-art industrial kitchens to prepare fresh food using only the best local ingredients. The contemporary menus and range of dishes produced are served in PL1 Restaurant, Brasserie and Deli Café which together provide a realistic working environment to develop front of house and customer service skills and showcase the talent of our aspiring students.

Wednesday and Thursday, service time - 7.00pm (bar open from 6.30pm for pre-dinner drinks)

The Deli Café
Monday - Friday, 10.00am - 2.00pm

PL1 Restaurant lunches
Choose from our menu of three courses for £10 (tea and filter coffee £1 supplement).

PL1 Brasserie
For those who are short on time we offer a Brasserie service in the Restaurant with a choice of one or two courses from our menu that changes daily.

PL1 Restaurant
Fine dining dinners are served on Wednesday and Thursday evenings and are created by our level 3 students. Our four-course menus reflect the seasonality of ingredients, while our themed dinners showcase our talented students’ imaginative skills in dish design. Dinners are priced at £18.00 excluding coffee.
Special Guest Chef evenings, ‘Demo and Dine’ and Gastronomic Dinners run
throughout the year and are priced individually.

We have a fully licensed bar which is open for pre-dinner drinks at 6.30pm.

The Deli Café
The Deli Café offers a selection of coffees and hot and cold beverages, pastries, homemade cakes and toasted snacks. A light luncheon is available from 11.30am to 1.30pm and includes our popular salad bar as well as a range of freshly made sandwiches, wraps and baguettes. For those on the go, a take-away service is also available.
