Why choose City College Plymouth for your degree

Everyone is familiar with our exceptional skills provision for school-leavers, but City College has also created a number of meticulously designed university courses.

We pride ourselves of the exceptional support our students receive, but don’t just take our word for it:

“I really enjoyed everything about my time at the College. From an academic point of view, the staff were superb: they are highly knowledgeable and very supportive. I also enjoyed the chance to go abroad for an educational visit and I have some great memories from that experience.”

John Helliwell, Business Management, FdA

“I’ve been so impressed with the experience of higher level education at City College so far, and I look forward to the next two years as I work towards a full degree.”

Emma Adams, Creative Actor, FdA

“The staff are exceptional: they are experts in this field, and the support you receive is second-to-none.”

Maisie Webber, Community and Public Services, BSc

  • Grow your network – re‑engage with former classmates and meet new professionals in your field.

How you can support our current students

  • Alumni stories show students what’s possible, they inspire and help imagine their own next steps and journey.
  • Inclusion and opportunities – Alumni can support placements, projects, guest talks on our Aspire (raising aspirations) programme, case studies or simply sharing advice through mentoring.
  • A strong alumni community benefits everyone from students, staff, and graduates.
