Free bus to and from College

Catch the FREE number 36 bus operated by Plymouth Citybus throughout term time with your student ID card. Click the button below to view the timetable.

You may also be eligible for a subsidised bus pass for Plymouth Citybus and Stagecoach routes around the city and our surrounding towns.

If you are visiting us, please ensure you report to reception upon arrival.

City College Plymouth Travel Options

Drop off or collection is available free of charge for 30 minutes at our main entrance on Kings Road or the side entrance on Paradise Road. If your stay is over 30 minutes, a ticket will need to be purchased. The 30 minute time period begins upon entry to the site.

All parking spaces are chargeable at £1 per day.

If you are a visitor to the College, limited parking is available in our visitor car park accessed from the King’s Road entrance.

If you are attending a pre-arranged meeting, a parking space may be allocated to you. This must be booked in advance via your College contact, who can reserve a parking bay for you. Please only park in the bay allocated to you. You may park in the bay for as long as required for your stay at the College. Payment is not required for these spaces.

There are various disabled parking bays around the campus. These bays are chargeable at the same rate as all other spaces and a Blue Badge must be displayed for the entirety of your stay at the College.

Communal bike shelters are located in the centre of the campus, please ensure you secure your bike. Showers and a drying room are available and bike lockers are available upon request. Please e-mail estates@cityplym.ac.uk for availability.

If you are responsible for a student who requires assistance or is not independent, you may apply to the College for a concessionary pass through the student’s course tutor. These passes do not permit parking on campus, but purely to drop off/pick up which may require longer than the 30 minute allowance.

Candidates may be provided with free parking on attendance.

All parking is free for open events.

Visitors using the College’s on-site facilities (Stars Salon, PL1 restaurant) can use the College visitor car park. All parking spaces are chargeable at £1 per day.

Companies making frequent visits may apply for a pass through their College contact if it’s expected to take longer than 30 minutes to fulfil the delivery. These passes do not permit parking on site, only drop off/pick up or delivery access.

Oceansgate Travel Options

This car park is managed by Plymouth City Council via a permit system.

There are no spaces available within the car park for students at this site. The free number 36 bus is provided to all staff and students and operates between sites.

If you are a visitor to the Oceansgate site, there are a small number of permits that are held for visitor use. These can be made available upon request.

There are two disabled bays available at the front of the building. A Blue Badge must be displayed for the entirety of your stay.

Picquet Travel Options

There is a small amount of student parking available at this site,.

PinPoint Travel Options

This site has no allocated parking.

This is a close pay and display car park to the PinPoint site. This car park is operated by Plymouth City Council under their T&C’s, please see here.
