MAKE EVERY DAY AN ADVENTURE

From playing superheroes in the morning to exploring the natural world in the afternoon, there are few sectors more satisfying than helping our little people to start making sense of the world.

Why childcare and education

No two days will ever be the same if you choose to dedicate your working life to helping these little people get to know the world. A rewarding sector that requires patience and a passion for play. If that is you, read on.

Our courses are designed by experienced childcare professionals who have worked in a variety of childcare and education settings. Whether you are planning to become a self-employed childminder, a teacher, a nursery manager or work within one of the many other roles supporting children and young people, City College will support you in achieving this.

Placement will form a large part of your course to give you real life experience of different childcare settings and to enable you to put into practice the knowledge gained whilst enjoying our new childcare facilities at the College.

Employment opportunities after your course will vary greatly and will include the prospects of being self-employed or working across the country or even abroad. Childcare can be quite a physically demanding job, but there is a role to suit everyone if this is the career for you.
