START YOUR COLLEGE EXPERIENCE
Talks and Presentations
We pride ourselves on delivering a range of informal and informative sessions to students from Year 7 through to Year 13. Regardless of the topic, all presentations are mindful of the various options available to young people, and whilst we will promote the College’s post-16 options where appropriate during our presentations, it is never to the exclusion of other pathways.
Find out more about the next level qualification. Your Year 11s will have the opportunity to be among the first cohort to apply for T Levels. They combine work experience with classroom learning so students complete their studies with both the knowledge and practical skills required by their chosen sector.
We also provide bespoke workshops and can tailor presentations to your needs. Just let us know what you require.
Sherford Careers
The Sherford Skills Training Scheme Co-ordinator is based at City College Plymouth. With the primary objective of getting young people involved in building the new town through Apprenticeships, vocational NVQs, work experience and work placements, we are able to deliver assemblies about the construction careers involved in the development, with the option of a follow-up site tour for interested students.
Junior Academies
During term-time, we run a range of Junior Academies which provide 14 to 16-year-olds with the chance to learn more about a particular course area whilst gaining meaningful experience in a college environment.
