Amanda has worked in economic development and business support for over 30 years.  A skilled and adaptable workforce is a key component for growing the local economy and personally Amanda really cares about how people can access opportunities and change their life opportunities.  The work with City College Plymouth opens up opportunities and changes people lives.  Amanda has worked for a variety of organisations from social enterprises, regional development agencies, large corporates and local government.  For the last 11 years Amanda has been Head of Economy and Investment for Plymouth City Council, which has involved securing external funding, attracting investment and shaping the economic strategy for the City.  Amanda feels privileged to work in an area where a positive impact can be made on the local community.
