Will Watts has been part of City College Plymouth for a combined eight years, following a 28-year career in the Royal Navy as a Marine Engineer. His professional background is in engineering, but his interest in College life goes far beyond that. He cares deeply about the experience of both students and staff, and believes that every part of the College community has equal value in helping people succeed. He is particularly interested in supporting students to develop both academically and socially, and in creating an environment where people feel encouraged, included and able to do their best. Outside College, Will has a long-standing passion for sport and has coached and officiated across a wide range of disciplines, including hockey, swimming and boxing, working with all age groups, along with a long standing association and leadership within the Scout movement. You will often find him on the golf course or pursuing his passion for carpentry in his spare time.
